THE ROLE OF TRUST IN THE FUTURE OF AR
Identity, personal data, and privacy are sensitive topics in our world. They are issues that we will need to advance before there can be ubiquitous AR because most AR-assisted systems include a camera that is continuously capturing the real world, including the people in our immediate surroundings.
Three thought leaders in these domains will present and participate in a panel discussion on the topics of trust and the future of AR during the upcoming AR Community meeting on March 26. The session will be moderated by Mary Lynne Nielsen, IEEE-SA Technology Initiatives Director.
- Kevin Pomfret, Executive Director of Centre for Spatial Law and Policy
- Jules Polotnesky, Director and Co-chair of the Future of Privacy Forum
- Joe Hall, Chief Technologist, Center for Democracy and Technology
The 10th AR Community meeting is organized by the AR for Enterprise Alliance and will be held on Wednesday March 26 in the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia, in conjunction with the Open Geospatial Consortium Technical Committee meeting.
