standards developers the most up-to-date information on the IEEE Standards
process and how it works, which will help make the standards development
process more effective and efficient.
IEEE Standards offers a 3-hour overview presentation
that can be given in one or two sessions, as well as series of 15- to
30-minute presentations that focus on various aspects of the standards

Guides committee officers in optimizing their
efficiency, delegatory, and organizational skills when leading a standards

Overview
of the Standards Process
Provides a broad overview of the standards
process. Includes topics such as project approval, standards development,
balloting procedures, Standards Board approval, publishing program,
related programs and resources. (Given with the Imperative Principles
of Standards)
Areas of Standards Development
Project
Authorization Requests (PAR) Presentation
Explains what a PAR is and why it is essential
to the standards process. The module provides step-by-step instructions
on how to fill out the PAR form properly. The module covers new PARs,
revised (updated) PARS, and PARs for the revision of a standard.

available to working groups from developing a draft to publishing.
Invitation
to Ballot
Includes information on the IEEE Standards
invitation-to-ballot program and the IEEE Standards Balloting service.
The invitation to ballot is the process by which an IEEE Standards
Balloting Group is determined, and this presentation explains the
process in detail.
