Call for Participation
IEEE P3333.2™ Working Group
IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-SA) is announcing a Call For Participation in the IEEE P3333.2™ Standard for Three-Dimensional Model Creation Using Unprocessed 3D Medical Data, Working Group (WG), Kick-Off Meeting, scheduled for 14 June 2012, in Seoul, Korea.
The scope of IEEE P3333.2™ is to establish the minimum requirements for enabling portability and consistent display of 3-D medical images across dedicated 3D display equipment, computers, mobile smart pads, and smart phones. This includes standardization of volume image rendering (texture), collaboration of fragmented images and 3D models, data storage, data compression, data transport, motion simulation, 3D platforms, and 3D model management systems.
The purpose of this standard is to describe a set of parameters and other guidance for manufacturers of graphic display devices to enable 3-D images to be consistently displayed across a variety of imaging devices.
Please join us on 14 June, 2012 to share and discuss ideas and values that will help shape the field and industry of 3D medical.
Date: 14 June, 2012
