Specifically, the VQWG maintains and updates the IEEE 1250 Guide. It is also a forum for thoughtful discussion and action about voltage level, fluctuation, sags (dips), swells, conducted noise, and anything else that adversely affects the quality of supplied voltage excluding distortion which is covered by the Harmonics Working Group. The "Voltage Fluctuation and Light Flicker" (IEEE 1457) and "Voltage Sag Indices" (IEEE 1564) task forces report to the Voltage Quality Working Group.
