WG D15W is responsible for the maintenance and revision of IEEE 1202, "Standard for Flame Propagation Testing of Wire & Cable". The document was originally developed in 1991, reaffirmed in 2000 and revised in 2006. The 2006 revision was tri-national coordinated with UL, CSA and Mexican standards. The working group is currently re-forming to begin a revision to add smoke testing procedures, acceptance/measurment criteria and to update the document to current FT4 and UL 1581 requirements.
