The December 2009 IEEE-SA Ad-Hoc Committees, Corporate Advisory
Group, Board of Governors, Standards Board and Committee meetings will be held
1- 9 December 2009 at the IEEE Operations Center, 445 Hoes Lane, Piscataway,
NJ. The IEEE-SA Awards Ceremony will be held Sunday, 6 December 2009, at the
Hyatt Regency, New Brunswick, NJ.

Corporate Advisory Group/Board of Governors
The IEEE-SA Corporate Advisory Group (CAG) will meet on Tuesday, 1 December,
from 9:00am to 5:00pm, and Wednesday, 2 December, from 9:00am to 12:00pm.
The BoG will meet on Friday and Saturday, 4-5 December from 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Awards Ceremony
The Awards Ceremony will be held on Sunday, 6 December. An awards reception
is from 6:00pm -7:00pm, followed by dinner/awards from 7:00pm -10:00pm. The
Awards Ceremony will include the presentation of the 2009 IEEE Charles Proteus
Steinmetz Award, which will be presented to James T. Carlo, "for professional
leadership in and contributions to the development of networking standards with
global impact." Your companion is cordially invited to attend the Awards
Ceremony.
The Standards Board Meeting
The meeting is scheduled from 9:00am to 3:00pm on Wednesday, 9 December; every
attempt will be made to keep to this time frame. Please try to arrange your
schedule so that you can be present for the entire meeting as the entire Board
is responsible for all decisions that are made during the meeting. The meeting
agenda will be available at a later date.
Hotel Accommodations
We have arranged for sleeping accommodations at the Hyatt Regency, Two Albany
Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08901. The room rate is $159.00 for single/double
occupancy; $129 December 5-6 only. Special weekend rate will be settled upon
check-out. This rate is exclusive of applicable state and local taxes. To make

The cut off date for reservations at this rate/block is Monday, 9 November 2009. After that date, reservations will be accepted on a space available basis. Please make your reservation as soon as possible.
Hotel Parking/IEEE rate: $6.00/day.
Transportation:
If you require transportation from the airport to the hotel, there are several
options. If you choose a car or shuttle service, reservations must be made 24
hours in advance.
State Shuttle Van Service, +1 800 427 3207 from Newark Liberty Airport is approximately $40.00 one way, plus gratuity, toll. From JFK Airport the rate is $110 one way plus gratuity, toll. $10/person extra if sharing the ride. Call 24 hours in advance.
Country Club Limo, +1 800 246 2287 from Newark Liberty Airport is approximately $110.00 one way. Call 24 hours in advance and ask for IEEE rate.
A taxi from Newark Liberty Airport is approximately $65-75, from JFK Airport
approximately $130-140.
