6         OLD BUSINESS

6.1       NesCom Conventions - Comment Policy - Ad Hoc Report - Olsen

Ted Olsen gave an overview on changes he had recommended for NesCom Convention #9. The group discussed the policy and made a few edits to Ted's wording. A motion was made (Rosdahl/Stora) to accept Ted Olsen's changes along with the revisions suggested by the group. The motion was approved.

The policy now states: 9. Timely Response to Comments:
a. Responsibility of Sponsor/Working Group Chair – It is important that comments be resolved during the “Open Review” period, and prior to the actual NesCom meeting. If a NesCom member posts a comment, an initial response should be provided by the Sponsor/Working Group Chair within one week, and in no event later than the closing date for the “Open Review” period. If the Sponsor/Working Group Chair fails to respond to NesCom member comments during the “Open Review” period, the PAR may be deferred to the next meeting, or disapproved.
b. Responsibility of NesCom member – Each NesCom member shall post vote and comments during the “Individual Review” period (typically, one week interval). Each NesCom member shall review comments and dialog during the “Open Review” period (typically, about three weeks) as needed, and at least prior to the closing date for the “Open Review” period.
